What Is Drywall Estimating?
Drywall estimating is the process of pricing the gypsum board, metal framing, insulation and finishing on a project. It covers walls, ceilings, soffits, shaft walls and the labor to hang, tape and finish them.
Drywall quantities change with every wall type. Fire rated assemblies, different stud gauges and heights, and the level of finish all change the price. We measure each wall type separately from the partition schedule in PlanSwift and Bluebeam, so your numbers match the assemblies on the drawings.
